Going back to work after maternity leave has been so hard. I sobbed the first day - ok, the first week. And we're only in week 2 {sigh}.

There are days when you will move mountains.
There are days when you will fight just to survive.
And, there are days--like several in your first month--where those things are one and the same.

It's been 3 weeks since your surgery, and you are thriving!

First smile and first laugh on Christmas Day! (Probably gas and accidental but we'll take it.) You are the best gift ever.

I was scared today. More scared than I've ever been in my whole life.

What a big and powerful God we serve! We are so thankful that He led you safely through surgery. I'll write all the details soon.
